Today we'll be discussing the use of spinal injections in the treatment of sciatica . Even though injections usually provide short-term pain relief, steroid injections do not actually heal a bulging or degenerated disc, but simply decrease inflammation and reduce pressure on nerves produces by tissue swelling.
Because of their temporary effects and potential for side-effects, spinal injections are not usually an effective long-term way to manage sciatica.
